I'm a twenty-something living in a small town in central Minnesota with my husband, our big fluffy dog, and our tortoise who might outlive us. I'm an extremely curious, organized do-er, and this corner of the internet is where I'll document what I learn along the way.
I love to learn and explore. I’ve always been curious - I'm always on a mission to gather information, ask questions, and dive deep into a subject that catches my attention.
This blog will have lots of posts on things I really love, like…
Books - my recent favorites are Homegoing by Yaa Gyasi, Reading People by Anne Bogel (I was able to read an advanced copy!), and the Chief Inspector Armard Gamache series by Louise Penny. I’m also am a proud member of the Harry Potter generation, and a Gretchen Rubin superfan.
Food - I love to cook! I enjoy Sunday meal planning and prep, and am always looking for ways to make eating healthy meals easy. I also love dinner parties with friends and trying new restaurants. Sharing a meal is a great way to connect with others.
Personality Frameworks - I know personality frameworks aren’t an exact science, but I’ve found them to be a really valuable tool in gaining self-awareness. Each framework offers a different nugget into why we do the things we do, and I find it fascinating. I’ve learned a lot about how to be more patient with myself and others since diving deeper into these frameworks.
Travel - Is there anything better than finding a new place in the world where you feel at first totally out of place and then totally at home?
Friendship - I have the best friends, and I am so thankful for each of them. Adult friendship can be hard (I guess that should be expected when your friends live across the country instead of down the hall), but really great friends are there even if you can’t see them everyday.
This blog is my journal for gathering new information, digging deeper into what sparks interest, following what I’m curious about, and trying to answer the zillions of questions I always seem to have. I hope you’ll find something here that interests you, too. Thanks for stopping by!
